primary colours

The colours in this photograph did not turn out as vivid as I’d like. The boys have been painting in the basement since we’ve come back from a week at grandma’s. Their paintings always end up looking like squashed eggplant as they mix all the colours together. This is the container for the previously yellow paint.

I begin this blog with a photograph of a cactus plant. It sits on top of our breakfast table so rich and full of life … at least for now. Caring for plants is not one of my strong suits but I try. I love the curvature of the ceiling lights and the blueness of everything below. To me, this image emotes a sense of calmness and freshness. Zen.
